I'm working with a customer who set up their file archiving so that when placeholders were deleted, the archived item was kept. This went on for about 2 years. They have now decided that archived items must be deleted when a user deletes the placeholder.
It's easy enough to change the policy so that this happens going forward, but the customer wants to delete any archived file that has had the placeholder for it deleted at any time in the past.
Anyone know of a way to delete archived files that don't have a corresponding placeholder?

can you use the vault search page for this?

Since there are so many files, a manual process won't do the trick I'm afraid. I suspected we would need a 3rd party tool. Thanks for the input folks.

I have the exact same issue. Is there any way to do this without 3rd party tools?
