Fsautility take a long time to run

Hello,

I have a customer  that want to move  placeholder from one location to another location on same File server.

I run the the FSAUTILITY  but it`s take a long of time

 FSAUtility.exe -pm -cs -s <source UNC> -d <destination UNC>.

we test  the fsautiliy to  200 files and it`s take ~30Ssec

it`s mean that if I want to move 2.930,117 Million files (314Giga) it will be finish after 5 days.

how can I improve the perfomance ?

there are many factors at play here. have you identified a bottleneck anywhere?

could you run multiple instances of fsautil against different parts of your directory tree?

Since you are moving just the placeholders and not the archived data, look at the SQL fragmentation levels and see if there is a network bottleneck between the Enterprise Vault server and the file server

I need to copy placeholder from one ArchivePoint(Folder) and it`s not possible to run multiple instances.
