Hi,
I have a case where customer is migrating from Humming Bird to SharePoint. They have a few terabytes of documents in Humming Bird, but they don't want to migrate everything to Sharepoint. They would like to export the oldest documents (3TB) and the metadata of documents (metadata can be exported in xml format) into Windows fileshare. After that they would like to use archiving solution to archive documents and their metadata into archive. After the archiving process pointers are removed and endusers should be able to search documents from archive by using metadata information, not just indexing information. Is there any way that we can link the metadata and document when they are archived? If this is not possible with EV, is this possible with a combination of EV and Hitachi HCP?
Best Regards,
Petteri

It is possible to associate the metadate in the XML with the main archived file. This would need to be achieved with a custom filter point for FSA. Many of our STEP partners would be able to help you out with that.
