I was thinking we should create a thread and share EV 'best practise' ideas. Checks we make on our systems that are useful, perhaps some SQL scripts, Anti Virus recommendations etc.
So here is my one.
Create a Test Vault Store. Set the properties of the vault store so that items are turned to shortcuts immediately after archive.
Create a shared archive in this vault store and give your admins access to it.
Now if there is ever an apparent problem with EV and you wonder if it's working at the moment just find an email you don't care much about and manually archive it into that archive. If things are working fine then within a few seconds the item should be a shortcut in the mailbox and if you do a search you should be able to find it.
