Messages building up in a2 queue for one mailbox

PaulHod_TA

I am having an issue where messages for 1 user is collecting in the a2 queue (which i believe is for manual archiving). This is also only occuring on 1 of the 2 exchange servers we have setup for evault. I am also getting a number of 3310 events in the evault event log. (This is on EV 7.5 SP3 for Exchange)

has anyone got any ideas?

cheers

Michel is right, you need a dedicated system mb on each exchange server.  You should be ok now.

Could you post full eventlog details?

Is manual archiving successful for other Users on the same Exchange/EV Server?

Hi Michel,

Manual archiving is fine with other users on the same exchange/evserver it just seems to be this one.

actually just checked it looks like the scheduled archiving is working on both exchange servers but manual archiving is only working for 1 mailbox (that ive tested) on one of the servers.

Another update.

after some trawling I think ive made some progress.

My exchange setup consists of 2 Exchange servers and one Evault setup.

one exchange is in manchester (along with the evault servers) the other is in London.

the one experiencing the problem was the London Exchange.

both tasks were setup to use the system mailbox on the Manchester based Exchange server. This afternoon i have setup a dedicated system mailbox on the London exchange server and pointed the archiving task for this server to that mailbox. Up until now (about an hour (fingers crossed) i havent had an error and the queues seem to be clearing).

Yes, this is most likely the problem.

You need to have a separate System Mailbox on each Exchange Server.

Cheers
