Missing outlvbs.dll message on startup...

Hello,

We have a couple of users who get an "your outlook installation is missing the vbscript component (outlvbs.dll)" message each time they start Outlook 2003. However, the outlvbs.dll file is present in the office 11 directory. The EV add-in still appears to work correctly. We could check the "do not show this message again" option but I'd like to know why it's happening.

Any ideas please?

It sounds like you might have the wrong version of the DLL in your Office folder. It would be worth trying another version from an installation that works to see if that fixes the problem

is there anything put out in the client trace?  Look for "IsVbScriptAvailable".

In addition, random shot from the dark.. is 8.3 filename support turned off for this machine?

Same version everywhere: 11.0.8164.0

But will try overwriting it from another PC in case it's become corrupt. Thanks.
