Hi, we have EV archiving enabled mailboxes in Exchange 2003 system, now we would like to migrate these mailboxes to Exchange 2010 server within same domain, new Exchange 2010 server has been setup as targer under same EV server. Is there anything needs to be done after mailbox migration or any action needed in EV during migration? Such as while migrating scheduled archiving may be running, do we need to stop that. Any technote on this whole process of EV archiving enabled mailoxes from one exchange server to another?
Many Thanks

So what you need to do is look at the SynchInMigrationMode registry DWORD.
If you can keep the LegacyMbxDN (LegacyExchDN) and the mbxGUID the same, then simply EV will sill reattach the archive to the correct user.
So you would typically
1. Disable user on the OLD exchange server
2. Move user from exchange 2003 to exchange 2010
3. Run Provisioning Task
3. Enable user on the NEW exchange Server

Not sure what your EV version is, but make sure it is compatible with Exchange 2010 !
For Exchange 2010 a minimum of Enterprise Vault 9 is required, if you run an older version, update to EV 9 or 10 before adding the Exchange 2010 server
