PST import compression

just wondering if there is a "rule of thumb" compresison ration when importing PSTs into EV ?

Depends on how many PST's you import.

We've done a large import in several sites, and calculated most PST's are compressed and SIS'ed 60%

In other words, importing 1TB of PST's generated 400GB data in EV. Due to the nature of PST-files (lots of duplicate data) I believe this is safe to follow as rule of thumb. If you want to be cautious, use 50%. Obviously, you also will need to take in account index-storage, which would add about 140GB of data.
