Placeholder vs Modify file

I note when I modify a file on File server, this file is no longer placeholder and turns into an original file. But if I read and eXecute the file, this stayed as placeholder. This environment is normal?

When you modify the file, the file would be archived again as Ev keep different versions of file (FYI -By default it will keep 3 previous versions. You can modify the default behavior by editing the Example EVFilePrnSvr.exe.config file and saving it as EVFilePrnSvr.exe.config. )    Even when you read or execute the file, the placeholder would get recall .

All recalls of placeholders would restore files back to file system and will go back to placeholder after the next archive run.
