We noticed in our past upgrades that the following Registry Key does not get up dated properly - HKLEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\ENTERPRISE VAULT\INSTALL\Version.
We are on Enterprise Vault 8.0.5.1048 and the registry key still reads 7.5-RG1250 which is the EV 2007 base key. Could someone tell me what the values are of the Install key mentioned above for 8.0.
Here are the values for EV 2007 but again I need the EV 8.0 stuff..
EV 2007 Base: 7.5-RG1250
EV 2007 SP1 : 7.5-RG1397
EV 2007 SP2 : 7.5-RG1862
EV 2007 SP3 : 7.5-RG2138
EV 2007 SP4 : 7.5-RG2534

No no on my install. The deployment scanner fails with the following error.
The installed version of Enterprise Vault is 2007. You cannot upgrade directly to Enterprise Vault 9.0 from this version

On my 9.02 server i see several keys in the path that Batescr references (except that mine is Wow6432Node): FullVersion, ServerUpPath, and Version.

FullVersion - 8.0.4.1991
ServerUpPath - 8.0.3.1845,8.0.4.1991
Version - 8.0.4.1991

Batescr, I have seen this discussed here before. First perform a full backup. Next, check in SQL in your EnterpriseVaultDirectory db table DirectoryEntry column SchemaVersion, to confirm what you're seeing in the EV console. Last, change the reg key and it should work for you.

have you confirmed that the right version shows in SQL? if so, in the vault console go to help, about enterprise vault and use that version info for the reg key.

Yes the schema version in the table is correct and the version in the help about is 8.0.5.1048.
In the registry currently it is 7.5-RG1250 Should it be 8.0-RG1048?
