Running EVPM results in error: "evpm.exe is not a valid win32 application"

Running Enterprise Vault v 7.5

When I try to run evpm as either the enterprise vault service or the domain administrator, I get the following error:

c:\evpm.exe is not a valid win32 application

when I click OK I get:

Access is denied

Any help would be appreciated

Are you running it from the Enterprise Vault installation directory? That is the first thing that comes to mind.

I have tried it both in the EV install directory, and at the root C:\ drive level.  I get the previously mentioned error at both locations.

I should say that I have been able to run this in the past, probably about 4 months ago.  Since then, the only thing that I remember changing on this server was that I installed the latest Service Pack for EV about a month or two ago.

It might be possible that evpm.exe has gone corrupt. What's the size and version of the file?

Try to run evpm.exe from the command line.
