Scheduled Search Issue

I am having issues with some of my scheduled searches. These searches launch every night at 9:00, however for the last week they have returned no results. If I run an immediate search, using the same hotword set as the scheduled search I get hits.
Has anyone run into this type of thing before?

Did the searches fail or just return zero hits?

I have seen this issue before with journaling being backup up for several days causing no hits.

Was this the case?

Correct - that is what happens.

I have also seen instances where you install the Journal Connector and then remove it.

During installation, we enter a date of when the JC was installed so that the application knows when to expand departments and search on the actual SMTP addresses.

If the JC was temporaily removed or broken, then the department tagging would not work, and therefore not return hits.

I have found the problem regarding this issue (embarrassing as it is)
However I now have an additional question.
When our scheduled searches run, they search against all seven of our Journals in EV Vault Store.
Since the messages we are looking for will only be in the current journal, is there a way to set up the searches so that they only look at the latest Journal entries?
