I am looking for a way to modify permissions to specific file archives in EV 9.

Is there a commandline tool or scripting interface I can use to edit an archive object's permission?

Talking to Stang offline the issue was that it was taking across the wrong set of permissions to user shares so that everyone could see everyone elses shares and such, I advised him to use the SynchroniseFSASharePermissions registry key however he was reading the same technote before i suggested it, so should be ok

are you looking to change the permissions for a specific file or a specific folder?
I'm guessing the folder no longer exists on the file server?

You should be able to do it using EVPM. Check out the Utilities > Policy Manager help file and read the information about the [ArchivePermissions] section
