Updateproblem with .Net 1.1

Hi guys, i'm new to EV and my first job in the new company is to do an update from EV 7.0 SP3 to SP5.

I know i have to install SP 4 first but here i got a problem:

I installed and started the deployment scanner from the SP4 download and everything worked fine. So started to install the SP as described in the documentation... but before the installation begins i get an error which says: "The Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 is required".

But it is installed... I reinstalled both frameworks (1.1 & 2.0) and still the same error.

The exact 1.1 version is 1.1.4322.573... installed on a windows server 2003 sp2.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem?

Thanks

Michael

Hello Michael,

Check if it is enabled in IIS.

To enable Active Server Pages and ASP.NET on Windows Server 2003

1
Open Add/Remove Programs and select Add/Remove Windows

Components.

2 Ensure Message Queuing Services and ASP.NET are selected.

3 To install required components and enable Active Server Pages, select

Application Server and click Details.

4 Select Internet Information Services (IIS) and click Details.

5 Scroll down to World Wide Web Service. Click this and then Details.

6 Select Active Server Pages and click OK.

7 Click OK to close the dialog boxes until you get back to the Windows

component list.

8 Click Next to install the additional components.

9 Click Finish.

10 To check that Active Server Page scripts can run, start the IIS Manager by

clicking Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, IIS Manager.

11 Click Web Service Extensions.

12 Check that Active Server Pages are Allowed.

Hello Gertjan,

thank you for the really fast answer.

I checked all the settings you said, but everything was already set and ok.

Do you have any other suggestions?
