Version to Version upgrades.

This might be a silly question but.... When upgrading from one version EV for Exchange to another (i.e. 5.0 to 6.0 or 6.0 to 7.0/2007) do the Vault Store partitions files (the actual archive files) get "touched" or is just the application itself on the EV server, the Index and the SQL databases that affected?

I believe there may be processes that may scan this during an upgrade etc, but do not believe they make any changes or manipulate these in anyway.  If you wanted to be 100% sure carry out a test upgrade, running filemon or something, see if they are accessed.
