asking credentials while accessing archived emails in EV 8.0

Hi

We are using EV 8.0. One of the user is getting login prompt while accessing archived emails. When he entered username and password it is opening.

Most of the users are using internet by using proxy and we enter EV server and EVsite information in proxy exception list. It's working with out problem but this user is not using proxy . How can we avoid this issue? any help would appreciate.

Regards
Akther

ok so if its asking for EVSite.domainname, put that in your intranet lists and that should do it

Few questions, does this user log into the domain?

Another possibility is that they have a saved password. This technote covers several possibilities:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/295039

Users are prompted for user name and password when attempting to open archived items.

if its accepting the username and password then it simply has to be the intranet zone, are you absolutely sure you have the server prompting for credentials in your intranet zone?

When it prompts, it will have the Username and Password, but there will be the server name in the blue title bar of the pop up
so if you look at the following image

It says "Connect to server.local" that is the EV Server name that you need to add to your intranet zone, so make sure that you have it listed properly within IE, don't just rely on what the policy has set etc

just as a matter of interest though if the user DOES use a proxy, does it work?

When it prompts username and password it is not showing servername instead it's showing Evsite.domainname.

i will check whether it's working with proxy
