problem after permission synchronization

Hi,
I am encountering a strange problem with FSA. When EV server starts file permissions synchronization ( default at midnight ) EV server hangs. Hangs means retrieving the files does not work and I am not even able to log into ArchiveExplorer from EV server ( localhost - using IExplorer). It does not return any error, it still trying to connect. After reboot of EV server everything works OK ( ArchiveExplorer, retrieving files ), but again when I manual run permissions synchronization from EV console, it stops working. There are no error messages in Event viewer ( server or client) . I have no clue what to do or check :( . Did anybody encounter this kind of problem ? What exactly permissions synchronization do on background ?

Are you sp2 for EV 6.0?

If so, I think you have been hit by a sql deadlock issue. There is a hotfix available from support, tell them you think it is the V6 SP2 - FSA - Synch triggering SQL Deadlock error - ETrack 583530 Hot fix.zip issue. In the mean time, as you have found, rebooting the EV server should clear it up right away

Hi Tony,
yes, I am running V6.0SP2. It is a good news if it is a known issue. I already contacted support.
Rebooting works, but I would rather disable synchronization if it is possible ( working on it ). Thank you.
