upgrading license and event log

Hello all,

An EV server whose version 8.0.1 was working with a demo license. Now their original license has arrived. I've placed it under the Program Files\Enterprise Vault directory and restarted the admin service.
EV moved the license file to the "installed licences" folder but there was no information about this in the event log. When I place back the demo license, it also moves it to the "installed licences" folder and it logs this in the even log.

what is wrong with the original license? is this a known issue ? and how else can I check the licensing information (MMC, sql etc? )?

Hello,

We log the demo licenses since that is a risk in the environment.  You should be notified about the permanent license renewal starting about 60 days out.  Thanks.

On our servers we see event 4213 once a day. "License checking has identified that you are currently licensed for the following features:....."

No that is normal. delete all the licences from "installed licence" and then copy your new per lic into "Program Files\Enterprise Vault" and as you did before restart the admin.

When the Admin Service starts up you will get an Event "4213" look at the discription..
