“As the world's human population has grown, so has our demand for fresh water,” explains Stephen Jackson of TechSoup of efforts by the Washington Water Trust to address growing fresh water needs using market-based incentives and collaborative partnerships. The WWT is dedicated to ensuring water is protected instream for fish, farms, wildlife, and people – a part of this complex work requires the collection and storage of sensitive data.

Throughout its activities to conserve and protect water resources, the Washington Water Trust collects a massive amount of critical, sensitive data. When it came time to upgrade its servers to Windows Server 2016, it required a product compatible with its new infrastructure.

Veritas System Recovery offered the right solution

Washington Water Trust's IT consultant, Stephen Stutz, chose Veritas System Recovery to meet the organization’s needs. And to save money, he decided to acquire the software through Veritas for nonprofits at TechSoup.

Protecting the things that matter most

Since Veritas began its partnership with TechSoup in April 2017, we’ve donated 1,703 licenses of BE and 437 of System Recovery to nonprofit recipients like the Washington Water Trust – a total market value of over $2.4 million.

At Veritas, we are grateful to be in a position to support organizations supporting the improvement of our communities; our ongoing partnership with TechSoup is just a part of what makes #LifeAtVeritas so good.
