Error when trying to enable the SAN client FT Media Server

Hi,

We have a new install with a master server and 2 media servers. On one of the media servers we cannot the enable SAN client.

Enable the SAN Client FT media server [Fibre Transport for backups to this appliance] ?

ERROR: Cannot enable the SAN Client Fibre Transport. Unsupported hardware configuration exists.

Is there a way of doing this without starting our install again?

I get the feeling that this thread should be in the NetBackup forum rather than the Appliance forum?

However - if you are getting an unsupported error that will relate to the hardware you are trying to use for the FT Media Server option which is very strict and relates to the fibre HBA installed in the server as well as a few other things.

we get an same error our previous installation and we see that problem is related to the default configuration of the appliance. we used appliance usb and re install the software. after that we checked the problem is solved.

i think there is a missing configuration of appliance. l suggest you to rebuild the appliance but not use factory reset. if you dont have any data on the appliance you can re install the system from the usb.
