Hi,
Not really clear on your question. You would usually have 1 storage unit for your MSDP, and 1 for ADV DISK if configured. In certain case you might create more for logically segregating backups.
Need more info?

Similar concept, the setup is not much different from a typical MSDP or AdvancedDisk configuration. In this order, the setup includes:
- Setting up storage server
- Setting up disk pool
- Setting up disk volume
- Setting up storage unit (this is probably where your question starts)
- Setting up backup policy, which you can assign a storage unit, either at policy or schedule level. (Note that different schedule can use a different storage unit)
Hope this helps.

Thanks , I am just thinking what is the standard practise while definning pool and what is the current trend
where most of our backup should be routed

Standard practice is 1 storage unit per pool.
