PureDisk Authentication Against Active Directory (External LDAP Auth)

Hello,

I have installed PureDisk 6.5 and successfully started backing up remote Windows file servers. All well.

I have even gotten the CIFS engine to work, despite the documentation which leaves out how the file path is built... not exactly straight forward.

The problem I have is getting the Web Console to use External LDAP Authentication against Active Directory. I followed the directions and now have an Active Directory group and its associated users listed (I am part of the group and my login is listed). I have provided them privileges on all the locations and departments. When I attempt to login, I receive a username/password is invalid.

Anyone have any clues before I contact support?

Regards,
Josh

Hi

From memory...

All the boxes (including the AD servers) have to be in /etc/hosts ..don't use resolver.conf file & DNS (it has to be empty)

Did you run the AD/LDAP syncronisation worklfow job?

How often does it run?

When you added the group did all the users in the group get added to PD?
