I'm not quite sure where you're coming from here: are you asking how to convert a Windows parition from Basic disk to Puredisk?    If that's the case, you're barking up the wrong tree- Puredisk is a separate product that installs on it's own OS for backups using dedupe and compression, not a type of Windows disk.

If you're talking about something else entirely, please elaborate.

****EDIT****

Oh- I get it.  Little slow today- you want to upgrade a Netbackup basicdisk DS(S)U to a Puredisk DS(S)U.

Short answer- you can't.  Puredisk is a separate product that is a member of the Netbackup family pretty much in name only.  To use a Puredisk DS(S)U, you need to build a separate Puredisk server on it's own dedicated hardware, then create that as a storage unit in Netbackup.  It has more in common with a DataDomain than it does with a normal basicdisk DS(S)U, both in terms of function and in terms of how Netbackup talks to it.  That is not to say it's identical to a DataDomain- I just find it useful to group them together in terms of how Netbackup uses them.
