7.6.0.3 Aix client exclude not working

Hi,

I am trying to exclude  a  directory  called  “vormtest” from backup and so far the excludes that I have tried are not working.

I have tried the following

/home/tynchep/vormtest/

/home/tynchep/vormtest/*

/tynchep/vormtest/*

/home/tynchep/

/vormtest/

/vormtest/*

vormtest/*

vormtest/

/tynochep/

/tynochep/*

The client server is using AIX 7.1 and we have 7.6.0.3 installed on the client

Can anyone see where I am going wrong? and why none of those excludes work?

Thanks in advance!

The master server is Linux runnning 7.6.0.3

Andrew thanks,

yes, If I have to change from all_local_drives to listing specific mount points i am going to have content with more then more so its going to be tedious/time consuming.

As far as the bpgetconfig command  I am getting the following not sure why its not finding the client name and I believe the syntax is correct from what I researched.

 [root@NBUMASTERSERVER admincmd]# bpgetconfig -  /usr/openv/netbackup/lists/clientserver.xxx.xxx.xxx

client hostname could not be found

[root@NBUMASTERSERVER admincmd]# bpgetconfig -M /usr/openv/netbackup/lists/ clientserver.xxx.xxx.xxx

client hostname could not be found

 [root@NBUMASTERSERVER admincmd]# bpgetconfig -i /usr/openv/netbackup/include_lists/ clientserver.xxx.xxx.xxx

I believe that should show includes?

fyi - I know I closed the thread and it should be closed I just wanted to answer your questions. The sysadmin is currently checking into giving us root access to the vormtest directory.

Best Regards
