We are using Advanced Client 5.1 MP5 shapshot backups with vxvm and Instant Recovery option.
I am looking for a method to run a script to down our clearcase databases AFTER the shapshot syncs, and BEFORE the split. This will allow the maximum uptime for the clearcase databases. The DB_BEGIN_BACKUP_CMD option does not wait until the sync is complete to run. It runs immediately at the beginning of the backup.
Is there another method to accomplish what we are looking for? I see in the Advanced client manual a method to use /"Synchronize mirror before backup/" however I do not see this option in my policy selections.
