I'm in the process of upgrading my media servers from Sun E450's to T2000's. I have moved 3 into place in my environmnet (Quantum P7000, Quantum PX720, SDLT1 and SDLT2 drives, NBU 5.1 mp5). As I move these into place i seem to be experiencing more and more library instability. Tapes seem to stay in drives after the backups complete, NBU looses track of them (vmoprcmd shows the drive empty) then tries to load another tape and downs the drive. I have thought of a few possibitlies but I'm unable to confirm them. 1 That im getting scsi reset errors from some of my new servers. 2 My servers are not properly releasing the drives as backups finish. Does anyone know of a T2000 tuning guide for NBU? Or a Solaris 10 best practice guide for NBU?
