Hello,
 
My NetBackup installation is suffering from status code 219.
 
My bpsched log is full of messages like this
23:41:47.429 [8309] <2> put_length_bytes_nonblocking: cannot write data to network:  Bad file number (9)
23:41:47.429 [8309] <2> job_get_state_type: Failed to send request
23:41:47.429 [8309] <2> clean_job_db: skipping job 3958987 (DONE)

Unfortunately I couldn't find any technote explaining this log entries.

Have you downloaded this logic troubleshooting guide? It has a solid explaination and write-up. I hope it helps or at leasts assists in understanding the problem better.

This guide implies that the destination storage unit is tape. In my case the destination storage unit is DSSU.
