Attaching addtional Tape Device to existing server

Hi,

I am having a existing master server having STK l40 connected through the scsi card.
Recently i had got a standalone LTO drive which i wanted to configure to the same server. SO i connected the Standalone to the spare LVD port of my backup server. THe drive was detected by windows and i installed the drivers.
But when i started the Configure Storage Devices for NB and i started the Device scan Netbackup only deteceted my previous STK l40 having 3 drives and a robot.

Do i need to do anything else for NB to detect the other storage device attached?

Hi Mayur,

If your NBU version is old, and your tape drive is a new model you must have that to change the file /usr/openv/share/device_mappings

you can mannually add a drive through the Media and Device Console, after you add the device $PATH dont forget to stop and start the device daemon
