Hi All,
Need a help here. I am currently running a backup for my SAP data using Netbackup 6.5 in Solaris 10 environment. In SAP, any transaction will create an archive log. I would like to know if there is any way that these archive log can be clear automatically once they have been backup successfully.
Thanks in advanced.
rgds,
Ronny

Which database are you using, Oracle or MaxDB?

I am using DB2 database.

SAP on DB2 is supported by DB2 DB agent, not by SAP client, therefore you need to read chapter "Using NetBackup for DB2 with SAP" in the NBU for DB2 Admin Guide

Correct, that guide also has information on the options available if you want to "archive" the archive logs to tape.

Normally, you want to specify the brarchive command -sd for save delete.

As Stuart says , brarchive -??? , eg -cds: copy, delete, save. Lots of options.
My experience is with Oracle , DB2 may differ...in fact I cant find a reference to it, but no matter.
