Try hitting alt-tab  to see if your restore has gone into DDR mapping mode.

At times the mapping window hides behind the restore messages screen.

Are you restoring on the same machine or a different machine that has different disks/controllers etc?

If its the latter, you are very likely waiting in the DDR mode...

hi,

I am testing it on Microsoft Virtual PC. My master backed up an Active Directory+Exchange Client with Collect diaster recovery information for bare metal restore option enabled, and have followed the steps mentioned in the guide, like

Install boot server software

Create shared resource trees

Add client resources

Create boot media

after this for recovery i have created one virtual hard disk with same size and same configuration of that old server.

then, booted  the test restore machine with that created ISO - as a CD.

I found the following things:

Screen 1- Loading RAMSDISK image

Screen 2- starting syamantec recovery disk

Screen 3- Please wait...

that's ......

No result after this !!!

Wat to do ??

Anything Wrong ???

Help me Please

I think my destionation test server making problem is it so ?

Hi,

Can you check whether your SRT has all the required drivers for this restore.

Did you get any warning when you were doing PTR for MSD?

Hi Karthikeyan,

It *sounds* like you have a resource limit in the Virtual PC.  How much RAM did you allocate the machine?  The CD will take about 260 MB of RAM for the RAM file system to hold the WinPE OS.  Maybe you don't have enough RAM for the Virtual PC?  It will need at least 512 MB.  There is a remote chance that the ISO image used to boot the system is corrupt or faulty.  Try it on another system - it will not be destructive unless you proceed with the recovery.
