Backup-Classes

HI@ll,

I want to define 3-4 backup-classes. We have two tape-libraries and one big disc-pool. I want to define the classes like this:

gold - backup to disc - backups will stay on disk as long as possible

silver - backup to disc - backups will stay on disk for 2 days

bronze - backup to disc - after dublicate to tape the backups will be deleted on disc

Do you have such classes? Do you have any ideas???

yes you can by using Storage Lifecycle Policies.

But for using those, you need Netbackup 6.5 and the appropriate license.
