Backup Policy Taking too long

Hi guys

I have a policy which backs up quite alot of data, now normally this is left over night and is usually complete by 5pm the next day. It starts at 6pm the day before. However recently I am having to cancel the backups as they are taking too long. I have now tried seperating the policy into 2, where one of the policies backs up the larger HD.

Are there any other tips and advice on how I can overcome this.

What OS and NBU version are you using for your master server?
Also, same info for client?

There are several ways to improve performance from a client.
But it all depends on your environment and what is possible there.

How is your data organized and what type of data is it?
Can you 'granularize' the backup selection further?
