Backup is active but byte count is not increasing

Hello All,

 

Backup of one client stucks at begin writing but byte count is not increasing, it remains stuck forever.

 

10/15/2014 20:37:17 - Info bptm (pid=31784) start
10/15/2014 20:37:17 - Info bptm (pid=31784) using 262144 data buffer size
10/15/2014 20:37:17 - Info bptm (pid=31784) setting receive network buffer to 65536 bytes
10/15/2014 20:37:17 - Info bptm (pid=31784) using 256 data buffers
10/15/2014 20:37:18 - Info bptm (pid=31784) start backup
10/15/2014 20:37:18 - Info bptm (pid=31784) backup child process is pid 31806
10/15/2014 20:37:18 - begin writing

 

Master Server ---Linux,Netbackup Version--7.1.0.4

Media Server----Linux, Netbackup Version--7.1.0.4

Client Server----Linux, Netbackup Version--6.5.3

This can happen when there is a large number of files (millions) that must be checked to see which ones need to be backed up.  How many files are in the filesystem of this backup?

Server is having some hardware issues as confirmed bt OS team.
