I've discovered a bug in Netbackup 5.1 for Windows, where archive bit is not cleared when backing up the client under certain circumstances. This causes differential incremental backups to get bigger and bigger...
It happens when running a differential incremental backup, and the policy is configured with the ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES directive and the client is backed up in 1 job. (not using multiple streams which causes a backup job for each drive)
It happens both in MP3 and MP4.
It has also been verified and confirmed by Veritas technical support.
They already have a patch available that fixes this issue - (replace of bpbkar32.exe)
As far as I was told the patch will also be a part of MP5.
