Hi,
I believe you dont have ignite package installed on your HP boot server.
For example, over my HP 11.11 PA-RISC boot server below content is available.
bash-2.05# l /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11/

Make sure you install the same Ignite version on your boot server which you provided while configuring BMR SRT. Use the same ignite media.
Thanks.

Seems like you are you are using PA-RISC architecture HP-UX server. What is the NBU version?
Also, at first look it seems ignite installation in your original SRT may have some issues. Did your SRT creation for HPUX3 completed without errors?
Can you please confirm the ignite version installed on the original SRT HPUX3?
Please try creating HP-UX 11.11 SRT with ignite version 6 or above.
--
To debug, you may enable the debuglevel to 6 on your boot server and cleanup the /usr/openv/logs/bmrsrt/ directory.
Try creating the SRT and ensure that the SRT creation is successful. Now try creating the media SRT and if you still face issues, check the bmrrst logs for error details.
Thanks,
Rishi Raj

Hi Rishi Raj,
Thanks for your valuable information.
NBU version : 7.0.1
Bootserver OS: HP-UX 11.11
As you adviced , i have re-installed the SRT again and i am attaching the installation log also. During the installation i got the below two errors but i got the message as "[Info] V-125-668 SRT "HPUX4" has been initialized successfully" at end of the installation. so i am not sure wether the SRT installation is having issue or not. please advice me to proceed further.
1.df: Cannot open /etc/mnttab: No such file or directory
./cp_to_client[14]: 744986: A test command parameter is not valid.
2. No [x]inetd process found

Hi Giri,
Thanks for sharing the Srt installation steps. The srt creation steps looks fine, but I would like to see bmrsrt debug log.
Can you please also try to create the Media SRT from this "HPUX4" SRT and if the Media SRT creation fails then share the latest bmrsrt log from under /usr/openv/logs/bmrsrt/ directory.
Please make sure that the debuglevel was set to 6 before you created the SRT "HPUX4" and before you create Media SRT out of it. You can set the debuglevel as 6 in nblog.conf file on your boot server by setting the value as "Default.DebugLevel=6"
Thanks,
Rishi Raj

Hi Rishi Raj,
Thanks for your support
as you adviced, I have set the Default.DebugLevel to 6. Then i have tried to create the media SRT (getting the same error) and attaching the bmrsrt debug log.
kindly review the log and provide the solution

You can ignore above two lines. Your srt has been created succesfully.
please paste o/p of below cmd on your boot server. We would like to see file listing under this dir.

Can you provide restore log renerated on your master server under /netbackup/logs/bmrrst/<client_name>/*.log? This will contain info only if you had selected LOGGING option while doing BMR Prepare To Restore. If you had not selected then you may want to repeat restore process by doing PTR again with logging enabled.
Also I would recommend to take this problem in other symconnect thread.
Thanks.

Hello Mandar,

The problem is, data restore from NetBackup is not happened successfully.
BMR recovery process failed to get below file from the master server. This 7CFC6409.listfile file contains file systems name, meta-data to be restored.
+ BmrcPull 7CFC6409.listfile /tmp/listfile.all
My primary doubt is you might have booted over other NIC than the primary one. Open NB admin GUI -> bmr hosts and check your client config and see which NIC is marked as of type BOOTABLE.
You may want to use the same NW I/F while booting your client for recovery.
If you are able to solve with this then good enough. Else do PTR and provide o/p of below commands run from the master server.
netbackup/bin/bmrs -o query -r database -table restoreconfigfile
bmrs -o query -r database -table config
Thanks.

Hello Mandar,
Thanks for your support .
please note that i have tried to restore CD based BMR restore.
i am seeing the NIC adreess of my client as first in under bmr hosts /clinet name/ client config name/network interface and next line shows the MAC id of second clinet interface but not shows IP according to this . Both mac ID's boot colomn is True.
also i have attched the output of the below commands
netbackup/bin/bmrs -o query -r database -table restoreconfigfile
bmrs -o query -r database -table config
D:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin>bmrs -o query -r database -table restorec

I believe here you have done PIT with below Point-In-Time client configuration as Restore Config File entry shows the same config ID: 19758. (But the restore log sent was with "current" config of this client. Thats is still fine as both configs are using the same NIC 7CFC6409. I hope you are seeing the same restore problem with recovery from this PIT config as well? Did you try that?

I would like to see your 7CFC6409.listfile file generated on master server post PTR operation. Use below command and paste content of the file.
bmrs -o pull -r INFO -client srv01 -source 7CFC6409.listfile -dest /tmp/7CFC6409.listfile
Run this from master server and paster content of /tmp/7CFC6409.listfile.
Also attach srv01.config file generated by below command.
bmrs -o querytree -r database -table config -id 19758 -gui > srv01.config
Thanks.

Hello mandar,
Thanks for your dedicated support.
after i am changing network settings i.e. disabled unused/unneed n/w interfaces in my netbackup materserver and enabled only needed n/w interfaces . Now i have sucessfully restored my clients through CD based BMR.
i am thanking you very much one more time because of your help only i have done it.
Thanks & Regards,
