I need to provide capacity stats on the contents of the MSDP pool

What we want realty is a daily, weekly and monthly stats of each client and size of backups within the dedupe pool.

We currently have a 1 month retention period within the pool which tends to fill up pretty rapidly and want to know exactly what each client space requirements are

Such report do not exist - would be nice however. You need misc workarounds

Monitoring the MSDP deduplication rate

Because MSDP does global dedupe across all clients, you will understand that rates per client is a difficult requirement. Example: I have NBU manuals folder on my laptop. And so does Nicolai. My laptop is backed up first, reporting poor dedupe rates. Nicolai's laptop is backed up next. Same files/folders on his laptop. Excellent dedupe rate because only unique data on his laptop is stored. So, should NBU report poor dedupe rate for my laptop and good rate for Nicolai? (Next backup for my laptop will show good dedupe rate.)
