Hello,
I use Netbackup 7.6.0.1 on Oracle Linux and I just set up a fibre channel connection with SAN client and FT service.
Before configuring the target mode, I could check the port status on Linux by showing files below the /sys/class/scsi_host directory and using systool utility:
# cat /sys/class/scsi_host/host?/link_state
Link Up - Loop
Link Down
Link Down
Link Down
After changing the port mode to target, the link/directory /sys/class/scsi_host/host4 doesn't exist anymore.
Anyone knows how can I check the port status from my fibre cards with ql2300_stub module and the target mode?
With nbhba utility I only get this:
# nbhba -L
4 ports recognized; 2 target mode ports; mode : Fibre Transport server installed and running.
Card #1
HBA Index #1
Device ID = 2432
World Wide Name = 50:01:43:80:06:37:70:D0
Model Name = "HPAE312A"
Port = 0
Mode = target (designated for FT Server)(f041)
HBA Index #2
Device ID = 2432
World Wide Name = 50:01:43:80:06:37:70:D2
Model Name = "HPAE312A"
Port = 1
Mode = target (designated for FT Server)(f041)
Thanks a lot,

hope you followed steps outlined in admin guide for SAN-FT connection setup and configurations.
Also ensure your cards are supported mentioned by compatibility lists. (must have.. without this it would be waste of time to troubleshoot more to get it worked)
http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC6469 (FT-SAN admin guide 7.6)
If cards are supported and you followed steps mentioned in guide. try with below
