For UNIX platform, the command guide manual is at
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/279299.htm

For Windows platform, the commang guide manual is at

There's a few command that you can use, such as tpconfig -d, vmoprcmd or vmdareq.

In the GUI, you have to go to Media and Device Management, under Device Monitor.

For frozen or suspended status tapes, you have to use the command line. AFAIK, there's no GUI functionality to check that. In the command prompt, type

bpmedialist -m

frozen, suspended, imported tapes can be discovered through
bpmedialist -summary

or
run "Media Summary" in the reports section of the GUI

Here is a technote on the commands used in the reports section of the GUI

Hi Sujata

vmoprcmd -d will show you the status of the drives

you can do a tpconfig -tables to check up on the flag status of the drives been configured for the media you can do a

vmquery -m < media id> for its location and status

bpmeida will tell us about the freeze suspended and unfreeze status of the media in question.

from the GUI you could hit the MEDIA tab on the down left hand side of the Activity Monitor to check up on the media status

For frozen/suspended media:

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/available_media
