Hi,
I want to go from Datadomain1 to Datadomain2 to Tape using SLP
in SLP it shows:
Datadomain1 (backup)
Datadomain2 (duplicate)
Tape (duplicate)
So shouldn't it duplicate to tape from Datadomain2? however it duplicates from datadomain1
How do I get to go to tape from the duplication of datadomain2?

A possibility could to set Alternate read server to a server using Datadomain2.
Alernatively you can change the storage unit on the command line with nbstl.

Thank you for your reply
I have set alternate read server as the server using datadomain2 but it ignores and uses datadomain1 backup and not datadomain2s duplication.
Nothing has changed this is the first time I have used SLPs and have followed it how I've read to set it up through guide and used this forum to try and find help to fix.

Gday Bruce
Can you show us the job details. I might be that its coming from the correct DD but it might be managed from the primary media server.

Any changes to the SLP will not impact backup alreadyed managed by a previous SLP definition.

Make sure your source for the duplication to tape step is from your DataDomain2 in your SLP. We use this function as well for a lot of our remote sites that need to have data retained on tape (that only exists at our main datacenter).
Backup - Data Domain 1
Duplication - Data Domain 2
Duplication - tape (Source Storage is Data Domain 2)
