EV SQL database Transcation log unable to transcute after full backup

When i did a full backup using Netbackup MS SQL Script with Transaction Log on the Enterprise Vault Database like EV directory , monitoring and Vault storage .......

I found that the transcation logs are backed up but no transcuted .

is this normal ?

You need a Differential Incremental Schedule in the policy. This is the only schedule type that will truncate logs.

NOTE! It is very important that the Database Backups include Differential Incremental Schedules since this schedule type will back up the Database Transaction Log and truncate it. If the Transaction Log is not truncated it will continue to grow in size and could eventually lead to a disk full situation.

Interesting note, haven't seen it. I assume that its only suggested to do it in this manner because the EV Agent is used.

SQL transaction log policy will backup and truncate logs if you're using legacy EV backup procedures.

how about using MS SQLpolciy type  netbackup script with backup database and tranaction log?

this is how i normally create as Full backup .

it is a must that database in simple model then can transcute the log size?

i believe that i need to configure a SQL maintenace to shrink the log to a reasonable size once a month .

It is a must to backup the Tx logs before the shrinking .?
