Hi,  When even i'm in Activity Monitor(Symantec NetBackup)  I get this error Event ID 1017 every 20 seconds.
I have tried a few this like changing the .ini file.  I did the lodtrc.
I have contacted symantec support, and they even had a hard time.
If any could help me I would realy appreciate.

Thanks a lot.

Just on 1 machine?
Doesn't sound like a NetBackup issue really; sounds more like a Windows problem to me ...
Can you post the details of the Event message?

I only get this when i'm in activity monitor,  It doesn't do it when I'm any where els in NetBackup Administration Console.

 Try this:

unlodctr psched

This looks outside of netbackup though.

see if you can find some clues in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystem\CurrentControlSet\Services\Psched\Performance

Still doesn't look like a NetBackup thing  ...
For example: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Servers/Q_22128276.html
I can't see the answer, but same problem, different application ...

Here's another link that may put you on the right track (hopefully): http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/31101564/performance-monitoring-er.aspx

Check out:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc727184.aspx

"Applications that run as a user or system account with insufficient privileges may not be able to load performance counters correctly."

Also, most of the resolutions require you to have Admin access, too.

I am full admin on the server.
