FCP Share backup using NDMP

Hi, I have got my library connected directly to the san filer. Can i take the FCP luns backup through NDMP in this scenario. Regards, Hamza

then you could backup the underlying luns directly via NDMP but not the contents thereof granularly. e.g. if you had a 500Gb lun with 100Mb data you could only backup the 500Gb 'chunk' & only restore the same.

You would only be able to backup & restore at a granular level on the server where the luns are presented.
