Fairly new but trying to learn quickly about loading the "CAP"

Hi, I have a job that creates a monthly backup that has a policy called [masterservername]-offsite-a and a scedule called offsite.  How do I take that 1 or 2 tapes and have them loaded in the CAP so I can easily grab them and send them offsite?  I have had a bugger of a time trying to figure this out.  Any help is appreciated.

In the Media GUI, select the media-id's, right-click and select 'Eject'.
If you tell us your NBU and O/S version, we can point you to the correct manual. Maybe mention your tape library make & model as well?

All NBU 6.5 manuals can be found here: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/290282.htm
Windows Admin Guide I : http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/290203.htm
Unix Admin Guide I : http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/290201.htm

NBU 7 manuals : http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/341274.htm

Look for the section called "Injecting and ejecting volumes" in Admin Guide I. The term in the manual for CAP (Cartridge access port) is MAP (Media access port).

I actually want to script it to eject the tape into the CAP so someone from the raised floor can come over when they get my email, and eject the CAP instead of worrying about what tape to eject out of the library.

Look at vmquery -eject or -multi_eject

A good sample script: http://mailman.eng.auburn.edu/pipermail/veritas-bu/2008-November/101854.html
