Hardware refresh - Catalog restore question

Hi,

We are looking to do a hardware refresh from NBU 7.5.0.7 running on Server 2008 and we want to go to NBU 7.7.3 running on Server 2012 R2.  I understand 7.5.0.7 and below are not supported on Server 2012.  Can the NBU 7.5.0.7 cats be restored to 7.6 or above?

No. You can ONLY restore catalogs to exact same NBU version and patch level.

You will need to upgrade NBU to 7.7.3 on the W2008 server first, then use catalog backup and restore to migrate to new hardware.
