How to Add a Tape Drive

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with add tape drive to NetBackup.

OS Media server: Linux Redhat 7.0

Tape Library: IBM TS3100

OS master Server: Windows 2016

When I configure storage device, i have trouble.

I had install driver tape on Linux media server and a check is:

[root@DC-DOCDB01 ~]# lin_taped status
lin_taped is running, pid 9686.
[root@DC-DOCDB01 ~]# 

And

[root@DC-DOCDB01 ~]# lsscsi -g

But when I re-config have still a problem.

Your tape drive does not have a /dev/nst device path.

You need to ensure that the st driver is installed and used for tape drives in addition to sg driver.

Your tape drive does not have a /dev/nst device path.

You need to ensure that the st driver is installed and used for tape drives in addition to sg driver.

Thank for support.

After check, I had to remove the driver tape library, and reboot Server and I see that my server have received dev/nst
