We are backing up vm machines images(VM-type) via single Netbackup 7.3 server(also Media Server) which is on Win2012R2 using SAN storage. And we are going to move those VM machines on a new vCenter server with another new vSAN environment and also create a new Netbackup 8.1 server on the same new environment.
Our old Netbackup server has hundreds of backup policies and we hope re-use(move) some of those policies.
Is there any good way to do this? I really appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Is the 8.1 master already in production?
My recommendation is to start from scratch - migrate the current master server using the same hostname and NBU version to the new server using this procedure:
Using catalog backup and recovery to transfer NetBackup catalogs between Windows master servers as part of a hardware refresh http://www.veritas.com/docs/000041076
Doing it this way will not only 'migrate' the policies, but also EMM database and NBU catalogs that will allow restores from previous backups.

Can you move the current NetBackup VM to new vSAN as it is??
For you to backup the VM's from new vCenter just have to add the credentials for new vCenter & include the VM's which are moved to backup policy. You can upgrade the NetBackup on same VM to 811.
