How to upgrade NB 6.5.6 Media Server Cluster to NB 7.1 Application Cluster

Hello,

I have to upgrade a couple of 6.5.6 NetBackup cluster to 7.1.

On the same systems they are other clustered services (fileserver and mail server).

What is the best strategy to upgrade these systems to NB 7.1 with Application Cluster?

There is some document around that cover this situation? I found no fitting one.

PS

The decommission utility doesn't support decommission of clustered media server.

Hi,

Use the following process to decommission the media server(s) http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH62119

Then uninstall 6.5 and re-install 7.1, then configure the app clusters on the new media server.
