Inclusions/Exclusions

Hi,

I'm having difficulty in setting up a policy for something that sounds very simple....

I would like to back up 1 Windows server with two policies, policy A with process all files except PST files, while policy B will only process PST files (they go onto seperate media)
Now we currently do this with BE9.1 with no problems, simply put in an exclude for D:\*.PST in job A and an include of D:\*.PST in job B.

Now I've looked into the exclude lists for the clients but it seems to be for all policies and doesn't seem to allow specific exclusions/inclusion for specific policies.

Thanks
Dan

if you use the gui and go into the client prop's and exclude lists
click add
you TYPE in a Policy name
option to TYPE in a schedule name ( or leave as is for all schdules in the policy)

thanks for the reply.............but that didn't seem to work, I'm trying a test on a non production server and instead of excluding PST files I'm using IMG's instead.

For the client exclude list I have set the following.....

Exclude lists
Policy A
     All Schedules
        c:\temp\*.img

Exceptions to exclude
Policy B
     All Schedules
        c:\temp\*.img

Then for the policies I have the following areas selected

Policy A
ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES
System_State

Policy B
ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES
System_State

Does this layout seem OK or have I missed something more fundamental.....?

got it working now, had to use * instead of ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES for the backup selection
