Installing client software ?

Hi Everybody,

How to install client software ? Can we do remote installation on same as well different clients from the master server ? Or we have to install by using installation CD on the client directly ?

Please help me  I am 3 months old trainee in netbackup 5.1 .

yes u can install the client remotly, under the folder /usr/openv/netbackup/client/ you will find the client u need, get it to one of the folders (OS version) u want to install and run the script ftp_to_client to copy the files first then the install_client <hostname> to perform the installation.

If you need to learn more I recomend you to read the Netbakup Admin Guide Unix/Windows, is always a good start, even after the regular training.
