Hi All,

We are facing the issue while upgrading the Linux client from NBU 7.5 to 7.5.0.6 using remote installation method (update_clients from Master NBU server)

The log shows the below error,

test1.ost.net Linux/RedHat2.6.18 ...
CLIENT_CMD_SOCK from bpcd = 4
CLIENT_STAT_SOCK from bpcd = 5
BPCD connected
Couldn't read from file /usr/openv/netbackup/version on client test1.ost.net
Client read errno = 0
Couldn't read from file /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version on client test1.ost.net
Client read errno = 0
Couldn't copy test1.ost.net's version file to /tmp/version_test1.ost.net

Is this still going on?

Your log snippet seems to indicate bpcd is running and answering on the client, but I'd like some more info.

It almost surely exists, but just to be sure...DOES /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version exist on your client?  (Could you paste output of a `cat` here?)

What happens when you try bptestbpcd from the master to the client?

Were backups of this client working OK before you tried to update it?  (Do they still work right now?)
